Alessio Bonini

Alessio Bonini was born in Genoa in 1986. His contacts with Art were early and encouraged by his artist grandfather Franco G. Rossi, aka Francus, who during his career had forged important collaborations working with the Bertesca Gallery in Genoa as well as with the likes of Warhol, Lichtenstein, D'Arcangelo and many others. During his Childhood - a period in which the whole perceptual world becomes pregnant with powerful chromatic suggestions and captivating forms, Alessio achieved his first successes by participating in a number of art and poetry competitions. In addition, the family figure of his grandfather represented and, still embodies, a driving force for his artistic growth and the basis of his pictorial training. He began painting at age 4 and grew up breathing Art, sorrounded by colors and shades that allowed him to fuel the inner fire of his creativity. He carry on his studies, first as a student at his city's art high school and later as a workshop apprentice with Artist Professor Massimo Bertonati, during this period Alessio favored techniques such as dripping and palette knife while continuing to study as a verist. Through the use of colors, Alessio has gradually developed a particular ability to imprint on canvas animic landscapes, with a profound nature also characterized by significant chromatic climaxes that lead the observer to embark on an emotional journey - subjective and interior - through the canvas which, in this sense, becomes a contaminating and interactive work of art. Throughout his career he explores, investigates and steals everything the art world can give him. He takes courses in clay working, clay, sculpture and graphic design without ever stopping. Not surprisingly, the artist has personally curated and run emotional painting courses at the Art Gallery - Workshop he founded and named Carneviola Art Gallery & Creative LAB, teaching dozens of people the rudiments of his art. Carneviola is a reality he calls "A creative lung" in that it can be defined as a living creature that has begun to breathe and express itself since June 2018 by basing its exhibition and workshop activities on a social project that brings art as an evolutionary state to all the junctures of the daily life of human beings. In the following years he approached the world of cinema, founding an international film festival called Onirica Film Festival - OFF, of which he is still the artistic director today. For a short time he tried his hand as a radio speaker, devising a radio program in which he conducted interviews with other artists for the duration of two seasons. Later he publishes his first book of poetry gaining recognition and publications in the publishing industry as well. He continues unceasingly dealing with social projects, urban redevelopment and artistic happenings in which he also actively participates as a performer. His works are collected in Europe and abroad with a production of more than a thousand pieces to his credit. He currently works from Italy planning to move to Spain and Portugal where he wil establish his new studios. In 2023 he founded Art Hub, an entity dedicated to artistic growth and development in which to place and promote new and emerging figures in the field.
